Camping Deneuvre
03500 Châtel-de-Neuvre
12 euros per night, electricity only 6 amps.
We came here in good time on easy roads. It’s a quaint
little campsite by a river. We walked into town through a maize field. The cobs
were ripe but had gone to starch so no point pinching a couple for dinner.
They’re probably for cattle feed. We bought some postcards and sat in a bar to
write them.
There was no electricity when we got back. Kim fiddle about
for a while before he saw sense and went to Reception. Somebody came along and
fixed it. It would seem the French people next door had overloaded the system
but they weren’t owning up to it. I had
to use the sit-on-the-stove kettle.
